KR> short or long wing span

Hello all,
I noticed Mark Langford shortened his wingspan. Does anybody have any good 
input as to any
advantages or disadvantages to either increasing or decreasing the span from 
the original design.
I thought maybe the experienced builders in the group could help those of us 
early on in the build
phase. I flew an old clipped wing Taylor Craft once, boy was that fun.:) Mike
