HI Louis
              The best way of telling if it is typ4 is the exhaust is on the 
bottom
of the head (opposite the spark plugs) and the standard oil cooler and oil 
filter are on the left hand side looking at the engine from the fan end. I
think the type one did not have an oil filter as standard.
