I only have about 60 degrees turning an it has not been a problem yet, I just pickup the tail when putting it into the hanger. I initially it had very soft springs on my tail wheel steering and it was uncontrollable when taxiing on pavement (disastrous down hill), on grass it was ok because of the drag the grass supplies. I changed to much heavier springs and taxiing is a dream now.
Being such a short aircraft, a fully castering wheel would be hard to use. What would be the problem with a tailwheel limited to say 60 degrees of turn without being steerable?
