The main gear and brakes are "borrowed" from the Jabiru. The main gear bolts on to the same points as the old retractable gear. Very happy with the gear though I'm extending the brackets 100mm (4 inches) to raise the nose even more (cannot see the strip in front anyway :-), the reason is that to 3 point stall onto the ground I nearly always touch tail wheel first, also it will allow me to fare in the gear better.
The problem with the brakes is in the geometry of the toe brakes, as the is not enough room for them to operate properly. I need to move the peddles back towards the seat and I already don't have enough leg room. My plan is to have one more try at the geometry and if that fails then to make 2 hand brake levers between my legs in front of the main spare, I have a center stick. regards Barry Kruyssen Cairns, Australia RAA 19-3873 k...@bigpond.com http://www.users.bigpond.com/kr2/kr2.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: Scott William To: KRnet Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2005 10:42 PM Subject: Re: KR> landing a KR Your pics are priceless.
