There is a very real need for more hangers here but the city councel chose to
spend milions on the Golf course which is right next to the airport and zero on
the airport. I have heard that a good many of the city councel members play
golf but none of them fly. Do you guys think this fact might have something to
do with what the money gets spent on??????????????????????????????

No Bob, all politicians are honest, aren't they ??????????????
But seriously, I live in rural Australia and I had to wait 7 months for
hangerage at AUD 110 per month. There is talk of it doubling this year as
there is 8 people waiting that I know of and the hanger owners are there to
make money (they doesn't even have aircraft in there)

The council keeps talking about making new hanger sites available but the cost
may be to high for me and there has been no action yet, just talk.

I'll consider trailering my KR2. I'll design/make different WAFs that fold,
are faster to attach and can be done by one person. This is done on gliders
all the time.

Whats stopping me from doing it now:

  1.. Time.
  2.. Aceptable hangerage price.
3.. To much fun flying. YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 1.2 yesterday afternoon
just before last light.
4.. I have the idear 90% planned out in my head, that last 10% is blocking me.
My idear is to make folding wing and single pin attachments that fit between
the existing WAFs extending the wing gap by 2 to 3 inches. No mod's to
existing wings or stubs, just a new, wider gap seal.

Anyone want to pursue this with me contact me off line.
