Were you seeing if they pumped any air before you tried fuel? They don't
move air at all. They are also not that good at sucking up a prime when
they are very far above the liquid level.

There is also a very good chance if you were trying to pump liquid that the
6A charger is not going to do it. The average current on the pump is less
than 2 amps, but they take a little kick to get going that the charger may
not be able to supply. The small inexpensive chargers also sometimes only
have half wave rectifiction of the AC (meaning that you get a 12V pulse than
nothing 60 times a second). That is a likely culprit considering your
buzzing description. In normal operation it is more of a clacking at a few
times a second.

Hook it to your car battery if the plane battery is not charged and I bet
you a donut it works fine.

Subject: KR> Facet Pumps

I have 2 Facet fuel pumps. When I apply power, they make a high frequency
buzzing sound and do not pump anything. When I look inside the output port,
I can see the little white ball vibrating inside. I cannot even feel any air
being moved on either side of the pump.

Any ideas on what might be the problem. I am using my 12 V 6A battery
charger for a power supply.
