I have just recently purchased a KR2 that was damaged in Hurricane Ivan. She
will need some work on the tail and turtle shell and a new canopy. The plane
has 108 hours on it and the engine has 10 hours on it. Ivan wont keep this bird
down! ILL see to that. But the plane dose have some bad history of engine
failure in flight and the pilot had to make a dead stick landing. On inspection
on the aircraft the engine had no compression. Further inspection revealed that
the valves were out of adjustment. The valves were adjusted and the engine
ran great. My Question to all of you is will this be a recurring problem or is
this a one time thing? I do not have an engine manual. If you good folks know
please share your wisdom.

  Thanks; Ferris Mcgee
