I never read where anyone was comparing the FLIGHT Characteristics of the kr to the tri-pacer, I however, mentioned that on my KR-2 the TRIM for the elevator and the rudder were similar to a Tri-pacer setup. I mistakenly indicated that the trim on the Tri-pacer used a spring setup but I meant that they used a spring interconnect between the aileron and rudder as mentioned by Larry.
My point was, that the spring setup works quit well on my KR2 and has since 1991. It has been quit a number of years since I flew a Tri-pacer so please forgive the mistake and remember that we are trying to provide helpful information to those who are still building. No flames intended to anyone. Please have a happy and safe New Years and many happy flying hours to all. Personally I'd rather do a dead stick into the woods of Northern Ontario where there are no clearings than handle any high performance aircraft with total loss of elevator. Correct me if I'm wrong here guys but comparing the flight characteristics of a KR to a Tri-Pacer is ludicrous, damn near like comparing an F15 to a 747. You hardly need rudder if the wheels are not in contact with the ground. Larry Flesner -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
