It is hard for me to understand what could cause an elevator horn to break.
I can see the stresses put on the rudder horns by the pilot. The only fear
that I would have with the elevator, is something coming loose, like a cable
attach.

The only loss of control surface I'm aware of happened several years

to a gentleman named Ralph Smith. I think he was from Indiana.

It appears he lost elevator control at or near the airport on landing

when the elevator control horn broke.
