I've thought exactly the same thing, and suspect that it's true.  I
mentioned this to Bill Clapp (whose canopy looks more rounded than my
Dragonfly also) and it was his opinion that the thing was floppy enough that
you could just about form it into whatever shape you wanted.  Mine was
simply set in it's free state on top of the foward deck and longerons and
what you see is how it turned out.  I'm very happy with the flattened top
and almost vertical sides, since it allows a good view of the ground, and no
interference with my head.

I've always been under the impression that the Todd's canopies were somewhat
"blown" looking, as compared to the Slipstream Technology's Dragonfly
canopy, and from what I've seen so far, I'm still of that opinion...
