Hi Dan and Netters, Yes, I am familiar with Bob Sr. we are of the same era. I never had a problem with any part of my retracks but it all depends on the TLC one gives it when constructing and never had an incident with the gear, that's also why flaps instead of a belly board, all worked as designed and for an old ATP I knew what I wanted in my KR. I had been flying it in my mind years before I built it. Had mechanical brakes but don't need them anyway even on the big a/c plan your movements before they happen, only used for stopping, that's why I was always easy on tires on any aircraft.
