While this is true, I would say that if you had areas where fuel would be coming into contact with the foam you have bigger problems. Having said that the polyurethane foams are great stuff, they can have a much higher compression resistance which lessens the likelyhood of pressure damage, for instance if someone steps on an unsupported wing area.
