The term Hard-Shelling (circa 1980) - is the practice of covering foam with
micro slurry, letting it cure, sanding it and then applying a fiberglass
layup over the top. (not recommended)



I know that someone on the net recommended this, but I would not do it,
because there are too many steps to accomplish the same thing. Put on the
slurry, just enough to close the foam cells and lay on your glass. It is
very simple and does not need to be more complicated than that.



There is a time for building and a time for flying, and the time for
building has long since expired.
