I'll chime in and say that (as a former small business owner) there are two legitimate sides to the issue. Based on the recent posts about dealing with Ms. Rand, it seems like it would help if she werent reluctant to allow a reseller to stock plans if she still got the same revenue. I agree that has an impact on availability and the fix would be actually easier for her, removing any work of printing plans. On the other side, this is a hobby business with part time suppliers, so we can't expect them to be too formal. As to NV Aero, and Steve, I think that ROCKS! awesome web site, great array of what I will need to build a KR, good guy, and taking on the Diehl stuff to continue that legacy. I mean NV Aero is truly a great resource. Like I said in a prior post, my other plane was supplied by a business that offered series of start-n-stop, bought-n-sold, travails. A guy who loves the plane design decided to take a huge leap, and I mean huge, and become the supplier. I bought thousands from him and spoke on the phone at length. But he still couldnt seem to communicate as a consumer today expects, so the other list had almost identical gripes, suspicions etc and "if anyone talks to him..." and "my emails were never replied" posts. So we are not alone. I could not figure out why he couldnt develop a reliable response, even a automatic "away message" reply would help. All I can think of is that it must be there is a lot of email traffic, phone messages, etc to the point that they can either concentrate on procuring and managing stock, keep the web site updated, and fulfill orders as best as possible, and answering a bazillion emails and phone calls has to move down the list of priorities. Since this is scenario #2 for me, I have decided it's worth it to accept the wait rather than any other option. THAT said, waiting more than half a year for someone to print plans that are paid for onto paper? That is a legitimate area for some critique, and an opportunity to hand that work off possibly or stock them or whatever.
