I don't have an ipad or tablet so that's not an option. Maybe someone on the net could download both Avare and the free trial IFLY software and give us their opinion on whether the IFLY is really worth the .19 cents a day they charge for a VFR subscription. I agree with you on the "flashy" video. I think the IFLY video is too flashy and intend to share that opinion with the Airventure Pilot folks. Their video is totally lacking in telling you about all the features and how good the product is, little things like terrain avoidance, on screen TFR's, height above ground level, "real view" airport photos at the touch of a button, rubber banding your course line with touch and drag, etc., etc., etc......... When it comes to which software you like to use I can only paraphrase a current politician. If you like your software you can keep it. :-) Fly safe. Larry Flesner
