On the contrary, my experience with the Diehl wing skins was just as much if 
not more sanding to finish.    Between my using the Diehl skins and helping 
others with their foam and wet lay-up wings, I would go for the 
scratch-build foam and wet lay-up method.  It's cheaper and takes about the 
same time.
I did get longer wings and easily installed wing tanks using the Diehl wing 
skins.
