Mark what is it doing or rather what is it not doing?
I have a customer's whisper motor glider in my shop right now that has an
ICOM IC-A200 in it. I could compare things if you like.

Subject: KR> anybody using an ICOM IC-A200 radio?

Does anybody have an ICOM IC-A200 radio installed and working in their
instrument panel? I finally "finished" my panel last night and everything
tested fine, except my ICOM IC-A200 radio. I spent a lot of time making
sure I wired it correctly, and even used new connector pins so I wouldn't be
splicing wires. I've been over every wire five times in the last 24 hours,
and it still doesn't work. If somebody has a working installation and could
pop this thing in their panel to see if it works, I'd appreciate it.

I'm using the mounting tray, and would assume others would too since it
weighs almost nothing and makes it easily removable. So loosening the 3/32"
allen screw on the face of the radio releases the radio and it slides out
the front of the tray. Removal and the checkout operation should take under
five minutes. Otherwise, I'll send it to ICOM for a checkout, but that will
certainly cost me a lot more than just the postage, and probably more time.
It would really help me troubleshoot this thing, and would quickly tell me
if I need to buy another radio.

See enclosed photo of the operating panel, well...everything but the radio!
Total current draw is only 1.43 Amps. I'll go ahead and put it in the plane
and start hooking up sensors to make some of those red X's go away, and to
make forward progress for a change...

Thanks,
