It's interesting to see denialism about this feature. It'll block! It's counter productive! The fact is that many people use this type of feature on other desktops and OSes. If it sucked, we wouldn't be asking for it. It's particularly frustrating that there are two partially complete (but abandoned) projects to add this feature.
