Yeah, if it helps reassure you more, that's absolutely NOT what I'm trying to 
say.  I want to get this fixed as much as you do.  I've put tons of work into 
JAX-RS/Jersey specifically and v2 in general - I want to make this as easy to 
use and as fast as I can for everyone.

I mentioned this on Slack but really should've raised this earlier here: but 
there's already a workaround for the perf issue if you're not using the v2 API, 
and that's to disable v2.  With the right system property, 9.2-SNAPSHOT should 
be "as performant as 9.1" today.  And like I said, I'm very motivated to make 
even that workaround unnecessary - though more hands and eyes are always 
welcome.
