David Smiley commented on SOLR-16531: ------------------------------------- bq. 750 cores per node; holy cow! Hee hee hee :-D. for FullStory & Salesforce, yeah, this is the world we live in. The numbers on some servers are orders of magnitude more; it's mind boggling. Decisions like the use of a TreeMap to put some cores in merely for convenience of sorting become unwise (hence fixed/contributed) -- an example. Likewise I appreciate recent improvements from Noble to speedup solrconfig.xml processing. It matters. Likewise I care about the overhead/weight of a SolrCore... where are we being wasteful (e.g. unused metrics for handlers not used). > Performance degradation due to introduction of JAX-RS > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SOLR-16531 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-16531 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Bug > Security Level: Public(Default Security Level.
