And doesn't CSci have the highest percentage of women of all the engineering
type majors? I've always hated that women have to prove our competence and
men have to prove their incompetence. But, at least during my career, software
development tends to be close to a pure meritocracy and people generally
fall into their proper place.
Don't ask my why, I just knew that I was going to major in CSci since about 8th
grade even though the only exposure I had was when Mr. Kotter was replaced
by a talking computer and the sweat hogs suddenly became interested in school.
BTW, my ex-spouse is completely computer illiterate.
