It is sad that the state of affairs is as it is currently.  But, it does 
appear to be changing.  There are several major companies here in Houston 
with almost exclusively female IT staffs.  I have a friend who works for 
Chevron.  At her site, 4 of the 6 IS people are female, this includes the IS 
Director.  The will not hire a man to work at the sight (I know I have tried 
to get a job there), because they have had trouble with men in the past on 
the sight...(lack of production, inability to work with the existing staff).
