Next time you plan to do something like this, would you mind making it
clear that you're referring to an article? You'll get much more accurate
responses.
It came across - to me at least - like you were making assumptions about
US, and it upset and offended me. Like - where did we go wrong, that people
assumed this about us?

But working from what you gave us to work from, can you see that it seemed
you thought *we, personally, wanted* demographics?
You argued against them quite vehemently, as if assuming we'd turn around
and argue for them. Then your next response /continued/ to argue against
them, as if we /had/ argued for them.
