Ok. Is this another example of things-that-turn-people-off?
And can we analyse /why/ it is so offensive, and whether it was 'intentional'
or 'accidental' offence?Jenn V.

I guess I laughed becuase it was so silly and off base. I kind
of wonder, why do guys always go to other guys for "advice for the lovelorn
guy..." Do women do this about men?" I mean it is so silly I can't
get totally offended, other than it's stupid guy humour" OTHER THAN
THAT SORT OF: "Well You Don't a real person for your lover, you want some
silly "yes girl"(what is equivelent of a "yes man"??)
And saying a "geek girl" is not what you want, this is an insult to our species!!! That whole line is pretty disgusting. I guess I am cheered here in Dying Heavy Industalia when anyone (fe)male or just anyone understands my techie slang and my worries and has good solutions. It works the other direction too. So his ideas about this seem so silly, as to be laughable.
So I guess I found it funny and irritating at the same time. Alas in places like this, about 70% of guys, and 40% of the grrrls would agree.
Have Fun,
Sends Steve
