Hi All, FYI - I have added a page on the wiki linking to a number academic articles and papers covering the Quake3 & ioQuake3 engines. Many of them give an overview of how the engine is organised and operated, others show applications of ioQuake3 to other disciplines.
See: http://wiki.ioquake3.org/Academic_Articles Not every one of these is a goldmine, but it may assist new-comers when trying to wrap their heads around the engine, and how it works. Also the wiki page could probably do with some re-organisation.
