The following is the configuration,
a client of mine had to get a new system, and the hardware guy, knowing that I would put linux on it, asked for specs. I said that as long as it has a cpu, motherboard, petty, harddisk and RAM and the client was happy with the price anything was ok with me. I have been following this policy for many years now and the only problems I have faced have been: 1. an atom board did not support puppy 2.5 - but was ok with earlier versions 2. some pen drives cannot boot - but otherwise work. it is only with laptops that one has to worry a bit about some of the peripherals - I am yet to face any problems there. Projectors, cameras and mobile devices are still problematic. -- regards Kenneth Gonsalves _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
