Centos (Which has 7 years support cycle from redhat if you choose to
buy support) perhaps?

Mind you it is designed to work on "older" but very reliable hardware
that usually server class machines have. Servers need to be reliable,
up and running 24x7 usually. I have been using Centos on (different)
desktops since 2007. Rock Solid, I should say.
