If we had involved them in DMARC early on we might be in a far better place than we are today, rather than having one segment of the pro-DMARC world seeing MLMs as part of the problem. Mea culpa for my part in the myopia of that momentum back then. So if we're going to produce such a document, I would insist that MLM folks be much more involved or at least consulted. By the time this group gets that far, I won't be an Area Director anymore, but if I'm going to co-chair it[1], I'll lean strongly that way. I don't think it's a big red flag to include this in the charter now -- the original DKIM working group produced RFC 6377, after all -- but there's also the argument that what we have in the charter now is plenty for starters, and rechartering is not a very expensive process. What do others think about this particular point? -MSK [1] This seems highly likely since, as I'm on my way out, the rest of the IESG has threatened to make me chair any new work I start up.
