FOSS is often driven by pride in craftsmanship.  Commercial software
can go to both extremes.  IMO, BPXWDYN reflects considerable pride
in craftsmanship.  The apparent author has responded actively to
informal suggestions from me and others in fora such as this.
Rexx 'MVSVAR'("SYMDEF",...) appears to show the opposite, seeming
to have been coded and documented to spec and passed review with
no attention given to exception reporting or fuzz testing.
