Yes. That's what the re-assembly area is for in RMF SMF records. And yes 30 and 42-6 split the data that won't fit into a VBS record up.

It is fully supported by many SMF exploiters (I have no idea about RMF) to produce multiple records when all the data cannot fit in the limited size of a single record. SMF30 certainly does that.
