And my two cents:
1. Please try your best to test your translation by running the
application and see if your translation fits the context.
Often, the translation strings on their are ambiguous,
and it is only within the context of the running program
that we can fully appreciate the meaning and the function
of the strings that the original authors have intended.
2. When in doubt, leave a string untranslated.
An example is "atom" referring to "Qt atom".
Simply translating the "atom" to "原子" may confuse
the heck out of end-users, and probably even to
seasoned testers and debuggers.
In cases like this, I prefer leaving the debugging
message untranslated, or at the very least,
put the English "atom" in parentheses
right after the Chinese translation.
