There are so many replies on this thread, I don't have time to work through
them all. So I just wanted to throw out my concerns: I do host some little
projects on Codeberg (none worth listing), but neverthess:
- I prefer not to have to use a Web browser interface at all to checks news or
issues, or apply or submit packages. I am trying to, as much as possible,
remove the monolithic, bloated Web browser entirely from my life.
- I am happy that debbugs interface and the mailing lists allow me to do the
above entirely through an Emacs interface.
- If we were using some kind of Web forge, I'd want an https API that allows me
to do everything through Emacs. If the API was good maybe it would not be too
difficult to develop the Emacs library for that — not sure.
- If I had to use a Web browser to access some functionality, it should work
through EWW and not require any JavaScript.
