Respectfully, Ken, I disagree.

If you shrink cols A and B to 5 px wide, Excel (and other spreadheets) 
"automatically decide" to show extra cols on the right hand side, without 
"asking" the user.  ie your view now has additional empty cols (eg.) R S T 
visible when they were not before and you were not asked if they should be 
shown.

Spreadsheets have (almost) infinite columns to show off to the right.   GC does 
not have spare columns to show to fill the window.   GC isn't a spreadsheet, 
although in many resects the register view layout is very similar and _mostly_ 
resizing colums is similar, with the exception that the window will always be 
"full" to the RHS (or wider)... Spreadsheets don't have "blank" to the right 
side, ever!
