I have talked about this forever - but I have never gotten a "real" answer. Just something like - that's the way it is. It does not make any sense to me -- but - that's they way it is (LOL!!!)

 If you are in Single-Line mode (default) you will not see this border,
 but will instead, see the right-hand border for the Reconciled column.

 Click View > Double Line to see the specific Account/Transfer column
 border, adjust as needed, then if you prefer, turn off Double-Line mode.
