Well, we set the width of the register on the fly, but not the
register window, i.e., once the register width is set, it doesn't
change unless the users makes it bigger or smaller, and then it
changed by exactly that amount. Snapping the actual window size
isn't done. I'm not even sure how you would do that, but maybe
Heath does.
