yeah, I see what you mean. what about having it snap to an integral
number of rows based upon resizing it?

yeah, I know. grip doesn't allow you, netscape, gnome-napster and
xemacs do. I think the only reason this bothers me here and not in
xemacs is I never click "exit" to exit xemacs. I always hit C-x C-c.
maybe it is only coming up here because there is an exit button to
hit, and on netscape, xemacs, gnome-napster there isn't.

yes, you are right. what about snapping to an integral number of
lines? setting the width on the fly for people, but not the height
seems kinda inconsistent to me.
