The `[scans]` failure on Spark 3.5 is not from this PR. The two `DPP - single-split sort-merge join (AQE=true, ...)` tests came in with #6814 and fail the same way on main with the 3.5 profile, since Spark 3.5 replaces the pruned join with an empty `LocalTableScan` rather than an `EmptyRelation`.
