I asked this question about Open Office, and I got, more or less, what I typed in above. I was puzzled, but there you have it. Chris, the idea is not that anyone is opposed to any of these things. The idea is that the legal framework creates some limitations on what Foundation projects can produce, and in some cases than means that the final assembly into a useful, complete, package, must be elsewhere. Please don't mistake me. I'm not *happy* about this state of affairs. However, I've done my best to engage with board members and such about the dilemma between users who expect complete binary solutions and the principles of 'what is source', and there was no movement. Please feel free to try it, yourself.
