Agree. I'm leaning toward renaming the packages. It makes most sense, I guess, and it really is the way to do it. Only problem is the legal provenance. What a tar ball this is beginning to appear to be. :( One solution could be if ASF keeps the repo open (and only the svn access) and let it be referenced from another developer community? Maybe it can be moved to a special area that is neither incubator nor proper apache projects? Just thinking out loud.
