of course :-) the mailing lists are the primary method of communication at apache. opinions are formed and changed on list. codification (if it happens) of any consensus (that emerges) is necessarily later. but the aim of the documentation effort is codification. if the proposal follows the conventional format already, there shouldn't be any surprises. please feel free to dive into the documentation threads with comments and suggestions: the documents being developed are aimed at those creating proposals. - robert
