The name doesn't have to be perfect and utterly unambiguous, as it's rarely going to be used (and people cope with misleading names like -Wall :), and it's more important that it makes sense with "no-" prepended anyway... -Wno-standard -Wno-default -Wno-defaults -Wno-default-warnings To be honest, all of those sound fine to me... bike-sheddin', -miles -- Cat is power.
