To me, the role of the SC is to intermediate between the GCC devleopers and
the external community, which means both the FSF and the so-called
"stakeholders" in GCC.  It would be wrong to consider either of those sides
as more "important" than the other and I see no evidence to suggest that
the SC has done so here.
