Sorry for the "stop energy" here. When I said that I didn't realize
these files are all "top-level". I assumed they were in some versioned
subdir. And I didn't realize the actual links on those pages themselves
were broken.

I still think it is good to make sure Gerald knows. And I really like
the idea of having the .htaccess redirect (in case people hit this
through "old" searches). But I do agree now the old html files really
need to go.
