Hello richard. Personally, I'd recommend a mixture of genres, some easy which members of the general public can pick up, ----- such as superliam, but others more difficult and complex. in particular I'd recommend Shades of doom or Sarah, ----- particularly Sarah.
Hp games are very current, but more to the point, Sarah is a complex 3D game with a great deal of exploration and different objects to be used. while another game, ---- such as superliam, might make a better introduction to playing audio games for those who haven't tried before, it might be helpful to emphasise the fact that visually impared people are both capable of, and greatly desire to play fully featured complex games. while this is obvious to everyone here, believe me, in some discussions I've had about audio games with some slightly less enlightened people, this has been an issue. Rail racer might also be a nice show off title, given the learning curve, complexity of driving, and amount of online tracks and competitions. My only miner concern with Rr is that the Day of the trifids esque plotline, and the hole racing on rails thing might appear slightly exclusivist, ----- I will admit it slightly worried me when I first saw the write up of the game. of course, once I played the thing I realized that it was an incredibly good game in it's own write, and not just a litle bit of wishful thinking. beware the Grue!
