Hi Thomas,

Yes, I knew that the answer was that the large professional game companies have
teams of college graduates working on those games. Truthfully I am amazed that
I can make some of the games that I do with the very limited education that I
have. I do believe that I almost finished beginners algebra. People would
probably freak if they saw how I wrangled or mangled math to get games like
Mach 1, Pong etc to work.

Hi Jim,

I wonder how they do it for the Play Station, Sega, Nintendo, XBox and
the other
game systems that have baseball games.

Well, the answer here is simply one of higher education. To get a degree
in computer science a college graduate has to complete several math
requirements including algebra, trig, and calculous. I also remember
having to take a statistics class, some physics, all in addition to my
programming courses. The end result is these highly trained graduates
are the guys who get picked to work for the big name game companies.
Especially, the guys who are top in their classes of which I was not.
