Before I launch in to a discussion of the points you raised I'd like to make a correction. Star Wars is a specific sscience fiction story owned and licensed by Lucasfilm Limited just as Star Trek is a science fiction owned and licensed by Paramount Pictures. So any Star Wars game made would follow the Star Wars story just like the Star Trek games would follow known Star Trek stories. A general sci-fi game could be anything the developer wants it to be. As far as Trek 2000 verses Star Trek Final Conflict if you are having problems with Trek 2000 you will have an even rougher time with Final Conflict. My version is much more complex in design, the enemy AI is tough to beat, and there is allot of use of angles and degrees for setting course, targeting, etc. As for the Star Wars game I am developing, Jedi Strike, it is a first person action shooter. In simple terms it is kind of like SOD where you navigate through Imperial bases, underground Sith temples, etc and you get to play Jedi Knight Mara Jade with all the force powers and skills that implies. Unlike SOD you have all the special force abilities of the Jedi as well as wield the most powerful weapon in the Universe the light saber. As for games like Dark Destroyer personally I feel there are to many general arcade genre of games out there like it such as Aliens in the Outback, Troupenum, Pipe, etc. I am attempting to go beyond that with my titles and give the gamer the experience of playing high class sighted games such as Star Wars Jedi Knight or something along those lines. _______________________________________________ Gamers mailing list ..
