Please keep in mind that the ability to allow pages *and* desks
at the same time is by far the most excellent feature of FWVM.

Other window managers and desktop environments dropped
this feature, which made FVWM more unique with each
'manager' that dropped it.

I have to second Michael's sentiment here. I have used this feature since circa 1995 or so, usually using 5 discrete desktops with a 4x3 or 4x4 page layout, giving 60 or 80 "workspaces". I usually allocated desktops to related genres of programs, named accordingly, e.g., "Development", "Network", "Artsy Stuff" (graphics/music), etc. This allowed me to scroll quickly among functionally related windows with the mouse, with no or very little edge resistance (FVWM) and very rapid mouse movement sensitivity (X).

I should be very upset to see this unique feature dropped.

Cheers,
Bob
