I've only done this on maximized windows so then I just move the the toolbar up to the docking area and release it. The odd thing is that if I move it from the docking area the toolbar can be moved anywhere I like, but if I release it and try to move it again the horizontal movement is fixed. -- Johnny Ljunggren
