thank you very much for explaining this as I (as a german) have no experience
at all with DISPLAY, codepages and friends. in particular not with 2
codepages, different from 437, *at the same time*.
were these 2 layouts dynamically switchable (and actually
switched), or would one computer select one of the 2 codepages at
setup time, and usually remain so for the rest of their lives?
