Hi, I think it's an is a worth exploring. There is a similarity between MXML and Android's XML group views and at first glance looks like something is certainly possible in that direction. Also android does have some interesting layout concepts (gravity and weight for instance) which make it far easier to make screen independent and density independent applications. Perhaps some of those ideas can flow back into the Flex SDK? For instance it would be fairly straight forward to make a Flex vertical or horizontal layout that supported weight (it's similar to % width I know).
